Who is the other guy? A long-term companion? I read the article but I guess I skipped over the part that explained why he's even in it.
My wife just got me a subscription to R&C this year for our anniversary. Just got my first one in - of course it had to be John Bongiovi on the cover. Yeah, agreed, it ****s to see some hack like that on the cover, especially with something that is neither Rod nor Kustom. R&C could probably dedicate a years worth of cover stories to the Rev. BFG alone. We all love the stories he has shared with many of us personally and in song. Setzer has had his fair share of articles as have many other celebs. Kathy Valentines Rivi is one of my favorites. She let me drive it before and after all the work she had done to it and that was one of the main reasons I picked up another Rivi. There are plenty of celebs out there who are into cars in one way or another. Yeah it kinda ****s when we pick up a mag with a total cheeseball on the cover, but for the majority of brainless people out there, celebs are impressive and that is what sells product. Look at Jesse with Autozone, I am sure they are selling tons of **** because people saw him running around on tv in his car/truck/whatever. There is no way everyone will be happy with everything they see on tv or read in print. Let's just be grateful for the outlets that we do have that share our enjoyment in one way or another. But I do have to say that if R&C were to do a cover story on Britney Spears hot pink 29 roadster decked out in Louis Vitton interior rolling on wide whites with chrome steelies, I'd be first in line to pick that copy up. Let's not take it all so damn serious.
Helluva topic to ponder... Personally, i like 57's, just about all of em. I also got a kick out of the 'Milner mojo' thing..watching the movie so much, and flying him in.. But, (yeah there's always a but ) I never liked Bon Jovi..i'd have a hard time counting on one hand the songs i like they have done... I have never really liked "Big Hair" bands all together though.. The cars were pretty cool..the 57 would seem to be a nice driver..i don't care if it has 4 wheel discs or not..just seems like a nice car. The 5 window looks cool too, but i don't like the interior at all. Dosn't fit the image of the car . They said when he got the car it was a 'high tech' ride..it dosn't look like they did much to change that on the inside... All in all, the're just a couple of car guy's, probably like most of the rest of us. But i'd think they could have come up with a better cover than that..To me, that was a dissapointment. Throw em in the mag so people know they are into cars..thats cool for those that wanna know. I just want to see cool cars, and read good tech.. The fact the car is his means nothing to me in the end.. But thats just my worthless two cents. Rat...
Three pages, is that enough about nothing? If you like it OK. If you don't, pull the staples out and use it for toilet paper. That way you will be getting something for your money. Frank
