How is the Fowlerville swap meet looking this year? I've never been there but after the depressing turnout with K'Zoo a couple of months ago I'm wondering if it's worth the hour and a half drive.
I haven't been in many years so not much help. There is also an event in Mt. Clemens hosted by The Suspects on Saturday. And antique/flea market in Davisburg Saturday and Sunday. Too much to do, not enough time.
Went to Fowlerville last week. Not one person, car or part at the fairgrounds. Guess it should be better tomorrow. Is there anything there for wives that are not that into cars to do? Trying to decide if I should invite mine.
I did go today. Lots of stuff. Saw Model A steel grille shells from $35 up to $125. Stainless rom $150 up. I bought a pair of round back spindles for $80. Don't know if that is a good deal or not. I would definitely go again. Weather was a bit on the cool side but lots of vendors and LOTS of shoppers.
An hour and a half is not too much time to support an event. If we don't support them, the events eventually go away. I live in Pennsylvania, but I will drive 5 1/2 hours to go to The Fall Out on October 8th in Glastonbury, Connecticut. I will get to see about 500 cars, a lot of old acquaintances, and a small, but good flea market.
