Foxcraft floor shift conversion seeking info.

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by flt-blk, May 10, 2004.

  1. I picked up a 4 different Foxcraft floor shift conversion kits still in the box. I had never heard of Foxcraft before can anyone tell me about them.

    I am trying to figure out what they fit, there all 3sp.
    One had a cool waterslide decal in the box.
    I'm guessing late 50's or early 60's stuff here.

    I can't seem to find info to decode the part numbers;
    FS50
    FS60
    FS90 A
    FS160

    Thanks
    TZ

    I bought about 10 a couple years ago and the guy had a listing of the ones he had. Probably why I couldn't come up with the one.

    Hi flt blk! Had a Foxcraft shifter in my '55 Fairlane back in '66/'67. A local department store auto dept. installed it for a whole $11.00! It was a decent shifter although I never was one for power shifting! Don't recall having any problems with it. My buddy had a '60 Pontiac hardtop with a Sparkomatic shifter. Now there was a kickass gear changer! Built like a Mack truck! Hope this helps! [IMG] Regards, Dave.

    They used to make fender skirts, but I didn't know about shifters.

    Tyler, did you get my PM?

    .....I had one in "Old Smokey" a '55 1st Series Chevy pickup. Worked great until it snowed and then EVERY snow, the bitch would hang up. Lubed & adjusted it, but every snow, it would hang up! I carried a rubber mat and rubber mallet. Roll under and give a firm tap and all was well........... [IMG]
