Technical Foxcraft lk-50 help

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by pigIRON63, Apr 25, 2023.

  1. I am hoping some one here can help me find out what these shackles fit. I found them while cleaning out my garage. I thought maybe they came off my 55 Chevy. I looked up the part number and the net says tri five cars were lk-51 part number. I can't find the lk-50 listed anywhere. Some help would be appreciated.

I don't see a pic? '55-'56 Chevy leaf spring shackles are fairly unique looking, shouldn't be too hard to ID if that's what they are.

  3. They are not curved like 55-56. They are just strait, on second thought, they may be a universal fit.....

I've got some old chrome high-lifter shackles that were aftermarket/universal and apparently on the box when they were new they even said "not for 55-57 Chevy" due to the offset. If yours have multiple holes in them, I'd say they're aftermarket universal jobs that don't really work on tri-5 Chevs.

Did you ever find out what they were for? I have a few of them in my garage too. No bolts, just the side plates with the marking on it.
