Projects Frame black or body color

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by gtowagon, Sep 13, 2013.

  1. Gloss black for chassis was most common for hot rods in sixties, far northern California. I remember one Model A coupe in town that used all white for the undercarriage, but no others. It was a medium green metalic driver and the owner later opened a local art gallery a few years later. Good color choices, but most guys kept to black, easier to keep up.

My build is a T RPU sitting hiboy style on a home built chassis along the lines of a 32 chassis.

The color will be a dark blue similar to Washington blue and because the chassis will be so visible I have decided to use the body color on it.

IMO it depends a great deal on the build and there is nothing wrong with body color on a chassis. And it certainly is not 90s street roddish.
