Basically I wanna put this on a 51 cranbrook 4 door frame will it fit? Or am I going to have to do some fab work to the frame? BTW what kind of body is this, this is what I am looking to buy and put on it.
I can't understand what you're trying to say, could you rewrite it? that's a 30-31 Ford model A two door sedan.
Are you saying that you want to put the Model A 2 dr body on the 51 Cranbrook frame? If so, I doubt that the body is wide enough for the frame.
Model A frame is one of the easiest you could ever fabricate, next to a Fad T. I'd bet money that the fabrication required to mate the A body to the Cranbrook frame would be more labour intensive than just building an A frame to start with. If your not into building your own frame for whatever reason, I think you'd be better off to buy a completed aftermarket A frame as a starting point. They aren't THAT expensive, the building of the car will be much easier AND the finished car will be better looking and command a higher price if you went to sell it later. Then again...it IS your car. I'm just offering a suggestion.
Not to mention it would be just plane UGLY! If $$ are a problem for the frame, sell the Cranbrook and that should set you up well for a chassis. Doc.
A frame is easy to build for the A sedan, with all of the other work you are going to do to the body a frame would be pretty simple. That body looks about like mine did when I started
