Thought this was General Discussion. I guess not.

Well, I don't think this is the right forum for you, but how about some rusty I-beams, a menagerie of bed frame rails or how about "drill pipe". Should be some of that available in Tucson.

    Want a serious answer?

Straight answer, lots of race cars run 2X3 framerails-----but not without a cage to brace them.
2X4 would be a lot better and if I were custom building a frame that was out there for the world to see, I'd probably start with 2X6 so that I could cut what ever taper or curve I wanted on the front rails/horns.
And I'd probably use something around .120 wall thinkess tubing.
    But that's just me.

Thanx for the straight answer, Larry T. Maybe if we show the RR crowd a little "Love" and straight talk they might see the "Light" and change their evil ways.
