Technical frame mount power booster

    on my 1954 Ford F-100 has a frame mount power booster--now the problem push on break pedal come to stop let up push again very HARD pedal not a great stop must push on it hard-- disc front--9 '' Ford drum rear-- has correct proportion inline valve---THANKS

    A booster like that only works on one side of a duel master conversion. Which side do you have it connected to? Front or back? If it stops good once, you must be running out of vacuum. You could try installing a vacuum tank to store vacuum for the 2nd push of the pedal.

    I agree with BJR, sounds like a vacuum supply problem (an yes, I realize that is an oxy-moron as we are talking about supplying nothing...)

    My daily '85 F350 has the same problem. The vacuum pump on the diesel is getting weak, and I have been too busy on other projects to replace it.
