Folks, I recently realized that I have a frame problem on my 47 Plymouth that is keeping me from having the alignment done. I also need my clutch adjusted. However, I run into the problem that living in an bungalow complex doesn't give me the garage space that I need (nor do I have many tools anymore). I can't work on the car too much myself. Therefore HAMBers, I'm looking to see if any of you folks know: 1. A good frame shop in the Los Angeles Area. 2. A good mechanic in the Los Angeles Area that knows early Plymouths. In my case, a P15. Some of you are going to suggest that I go to ask the boys on P15-D24...and I've done that. I just want to see what the HAMBers here would say. Thanks for the help folks! FG.
Hey, what leads you to need a frame shop for your P15, collision damage, or supension issues? I'd suggest you look for a truck & brake shop and ask who they use. Pick up trucks are about the passenger vehicles with conventional frames under them these days. Most of the really good old time frame guys are now worm food. My car was recently in for brakes and alignment. The alignment could not be done because the caster was -3 deg on both wheels. After examining the body, we found on the drivers side a structural issue with the frame bent up. The only way I can describe it is as if someone took the car and dropped it on a boulder. Strange thing is that it only happened on one side...the drivers side. The alignment could not be done at all. Camber and Toe are fine. FG.

Hey, Sounds like damagee caused by a floor jack, being dropped off jack stands/lift, or impact with curb or as you said ''bolder''. ''perhaps'' a 1-1.5 hour job, easily fixed on a rack. " Humpty Dumpty was pushed "
