I have an old Frankland QC in my '27 roadster. I bought an old late model dirt car in 1986. It had this Frankland QC in it. No telling how old it was at the time. I rebuilt it several times. It was used in my own late model dirt car until 1994 when I retired. It sat under my work bench until 2011 when I built the roadster.
I'm just wondering if anybody can tell me approximately how old it is. The only way to identify it that I know is that it has a 12 spline axle, I am still running the spool, too. It has an aluminum centersection, and what I believe are magnesium bells. Steel axle tubes for W5 hubs. They are a considerably darker gray.
That probably is not enough to ID it, but I thought I would give it a try.

Yeah, I had been there. It does tell me that it is newer than 1947!

A photo or 2 might help narrow it down.
