I will be in Franklin, TN for a week starting next month, visiting inlaws. Anyone from around there that haves some tips on what to do? I plan on cruising the Natchez Trace Parkway a bit but besides that I have a feeling I am going to be a bit bored while I am out there.

I like bikes and cars, and I will be there from the 5th to the 11th..

    Any suggestions welcome.

You will be about 30 minutes from the honky tonks in Nashville. They are open until 2am with no cover and cold PBR.. need I say more? Lots of cool museums, etc too.

Franklin is a neat place. Go to the old town of Franklin! Are you takin' your spouse? If so, she will love it, it's a nice little place, you can walk around town and there are all kind of little shops and places to eat. Mostly shopping though! Nice place to get away!!

Several other things. Also on the 7 in shelbyville tenn the hoodlum alley cruisers are having a function. Fried balony, chicken, these guys put on a great show with lots of fun. and some cars we like and lots of tweed and some late model shit. In huntsville about 80 miles so of franklin is the space and rocket center.nice to go through and see.. then 3 hrs south of franklin is The Rocco and Cheaters speed shop. it unblievable. check the auction on the board. One other thing is off I 65 at mile marker 6 bryson road is the world famous Booby Bunglow. great titty bar... I and the other Poor Boys will be at the leabon show .. have a safe trip... Bobby..

  9. Beautiful place; I would move there in a minute! It's gotten pretty crowded in the last 5 or so years, though.

Between the Trace and Franklin is the road to Leipers Fork. Pretty scenery and a lot of beautiful horse farms.

Downtown is definitely a chick place; lots of shops and antique malls.

I think Williamson County now is something like 10th in the country in per capita income. A buddy bought a house for $170K ten years ago, sold it for $340K! Not a bad investment! Course the dumbass moved to Memphis!

if you ride skateboards then you are in luck they just opened the concrete park last week, if not then you are missing nothing. i would absolutely go honky tonkin at least one night while you are here, show in lebanon or do my favorite past time which is to simply ride around because i have never seen a more beautiful place and if someone else says they have, they are lying. its october in tennessee and its fucking beautiful, enjoy. if you get bored then its your own fault

It's a pre-64 show and is October 7th-8th at the Lebanon fairgrounds (with camping on site). I think ol skool rodz is one of the sponsors, but it's actually being put on by 'Biker Designs'. Here's a link to the website:

I'll be there with some of the other Poor Boys.

great info guys I really appreciate it. I will actually be staying at a farm right out side of Leipers Fork. My wife and I went to the Blues Festival there two years ago, It was great... a whole bunch of Rednecks shooting off big ass fire works up on a hill.

Thanks again for all the info. I look forward to seeing some of the Poor Boys cars out at the show.
