Interesting, how an entire thread just suddenly becomes 'lost' or something.

Here in Tucson where all your old people are now we run for the flannell shirts when it gets to 70. I got a sunburn working in the garage drinkin iced tea.
73 degrees right now with a wind chill of 85,lol, and I've never had to shovel the snakes and scorpions outta my driveway.

  5. Loaded my board in the RPU and hit the beach early for a couple of hours surfing this morning. Looking forward to a week of temps in the 70's. Yesterday I went for 1 1/2 hour bike ride in the morning and then worked outside in the sun putting a patch panel in a friends Nomad. It got kinda hot in the sun. I'm not spending any money on heat in the winter or AC in the summer. Might cost more to live here but I say it's worth every penny. Snow is for snow cones!

Just don't fall into the ocean with the next big quake or get burned down by all the fires out there. Everything has it's pros and cons. If i lived out there i would never get anything done, the weathers do damn nice. At least here I'm forced into working on cars in the winter cause there ain't much else to do. Yes i do get the sarcasm in your post!!! Good day mate.

If you want to feel a little bit better, just think it could always be worse... Here in Bismarck, tonight, into tomorrow 1/8/2010 they are projecting a low of -30F, the air temp isn't what ****s, it's the wind with a wind chill of -50 or worse.

Lots of trucks get into trouble with diesel gelling issues, gas lines freeze up... Unless you are prepared. Locally we are prepared to handle this weather, but it is hard on things non the less.

  17. I love this ****!!!I should say I love the snow not the crazy bitter cold. All the complainers should move.I do get a little sick of it come March but it is what it is.Good thing I like snowmobiling as much as hotrods and cars!!It will eventually melt,it's a nice change not to have to work on all my old cars.I also enjoy plowing too.lol

I'm pretty tired of this brutal winter as well. I had to wear a long sleeve shirt yesterday. And long pants as well. And it was up hill both ways in the wind.

Then there was the time I went to a Superbowl party on my Harley in Milwaukee.

Lake effect snow kicked up before the game was over. Should of seen the looks on peoples faces! 20 Degrees outside, snowing like crazy.

Maybe I should invent windshield wipers for Harleys?!

  24. I love the word *****, use it all the time to describe my co-workers! The old Bowery Boys movies used a lot of malapropisms(?) and they called people maroons:eek:.

  25. A Russian and Ole the Norwegian wrestler were set to square off for the Olympic Gold Medal. Before the final match, the Norwegian wrestling coach came to Ole and said, "Now, don't forget all the research we've done on this Russian. He's never lost a match because of this 'pretzel' hold he has". Whatever you do, do not let him get you in that hold! If he does, you're finished'. Ole nodded in acknowledgment.
As the match started, Ole and the Russian circled each other several times, looking for an opening. All of a sudden, the Russian lunged forward, grabbing Ole and wrapping him up in the dreaded pretzel hold. A sigh of disappointment arose from the crowd and the coach buried his face in his hands, for he knew all was lost. He couldn't watch the inevitable happen.
Suddenly, there was a scream, then a cheer from the crowd and the coach raised his eyes just in time to watch the Russian go flying up in the air. His back hit the mat with a thud and Ole collapsed on top of him making the pin and winning the match. The crowd went crazy. The coach was astounded.
When he finally got his wrestler alone, he asked, "How did you ever get out of that hold? No one has ever done it before!"
Ole answered, "Vell, I vas ready to give up ven he got me in dat hold, but at da last moment, I opened my eyes and saw dis pair of testicles right in front of my face...I had nuttin' to lose so wid my last ounce of strength I stretched out my neck and bit dose babies just as hard as I could."
So the trainer exclaimed, "That's what finished him off!"

"Vel not really. You'd be amazed how strong you get ven you bite your own nuts!"

Here is something for my Wisconsin friends. I am working on a new website. My good friend Tommy Kujava hosts the Wheels TV show on time warner cable. Some of you have seen it I hope. If not, NE Time Warner it is on channel 411 Wisconsin ON DEMAND. He has done 70+ shows, most of which are pretty cool. I am in the process(slow process) of editing, converting and uploading all of them to a web site....TKWHEELS.COM. Check it out. If you have any feedback....or would like to sponsor the site, let me know.

It takes a couple hours to do each episode(to date I have only had a chance to do a couple), so check back on the site often to see them as I upload them.
