Just read that Freddy Fryar p***ed away. He was a Stock Car round track champion, plus did a little drag racing. Freddy was one of the best in a stock car. As smooth as they come. RIP Freddy.

I used to read about him when I got the racing papers weekly. RIP Freddy!

Freddy used to show up at our local short track, Dixie
Land Speedway just west of New Orleans. Also would
compete at the Pelican International Speedway near
Baton Rouge. He was a nice fellow and the local racers enjoyed his appearances. I recall he had some relatives
in the area. I seem to remember Freddy winning the Permatex 300 at Daytona one year? Not sure about
that fact. I always expected a major team to hire him,
but dont think it ever happened.
