We put on a large truck show called the Southeast Showdown that is mainly the little airbagged trucks and fullsize custom trucks. Every year we host a free show along with it for Rods and choppers on saturday. Its to give the kids something to look at and decide what they want to build in the future I know a few of us on here started out with trucks because we where to broke at the time to build anything else so we built with what we had. The show opens at eight we take cars pre 72 up until noonish and we will be handing out custom arcrylic trophies by 4 pm. It is held at the Anderson county fairgrounds and when you get to the gates they will lead you to a parking area just for the rods away from all the trucks so you dont have to listen to someone with a loud stereo blaring all day lol. Hope some of you guys can make it we drove the boogie van up the 400 miles from Florida, and Kevin is bringing out his green bagged falcon, and I know Greg Porter(Gold Plymouth this months CK Deluxe) is bringing out a couple of his rides. Hope some of you guys can make it I know that even though this show is free some people wont come because of it being in with the truck show, but we are inviting anyone who is interested to come out have a good time and not spend any money to meet some new people. If you are interested in bagging a future project this would be a great event to come look at some nice setups and talk to some vendors. We charge for spectators but if you want to just come out and look just say you are with the H.A.M.B and they will let you in for free. If they give you any hassle just say call chicken he will let me in lol
............oh yea does anyone know of any cruise inns in the greenville/anderson area while I am here

McDonalds on I81 has one every week, I think. It is done up like a '50s McDs. Check with HotRodPrimer, he's a local. Also, don't miss the Jockey Lot while you are out there! Largest Flea Market in America (at least that's what THEY say!) on the weekend. Get your boiled Pnuts there (blech!) and score some take of Chevy truck and van wheels from the conversion shops cheap! I called my buddy with '69 and '71 Camaros. I'll see if I can at least get him there!
Yea the led sled nats is a killer show we are friends with the promoters you will have a great time there I wish I could go lol. We always have a decent turnout with more of a cruise in feel to the show if you guys make it out cool if not support your local show or a show somewhere
