First run . . . then the "Quick Change" Picked up a full second. Did have a little trouble in shut-down -- the caster change along with the big "Gyro" effect made the car want to go straight.
Yep, a known situation. That's why most all modern drag race cars have a 1" offset from one front spindle center to the other. This provides a larger "rollout" just like the larger tires as shown above. Years back, some were getting carried away with the offset, so the NHRA and other racing bodies ins***uted the 1" spindle offset rule. A larger front tire can still be used, along with the spindle offset. Many "Stock" car cl*** owners do this. Mike
