First run . . . then the "Quick Change" Picked up a full second. Did have a little trouble in shut-down -- the caster change along with the big "Gyro" effect made the car want to go straight.
Yep, a known situation. That's why most all modern drag race cars have a 1" offset from one front spindle center to the other. This provides a larger "rollout" just like the larger tires as shown above. Years back, some were getting carried away with the offset, so the NHRA and other racing bodies instituted the 1" spindle offset rule. A larger front tire can still be used, along with the spindle offset. Many "Stock" car class owners do this. Mike
