Ok here's the deal. I picked up a 1953 Ford F100 with a total frame-off resto including full machine shop engine rebuild. It had been driven a few years and until it had a couple of cam lobes go flat. I figured "easy fix". I figured wrong. After scouring the internet for a 215 cam (and also buying one that wound up being for a 223) I found one of evidently only two in the entire country. It went in with new springs, retainers, and lifters. I did the correct break-in with the correct break-in oil and all was good. Then I drove it. After two miles it started blowing steam and running like ****. Turns out the head was cracked. In three places. That they can't fix.
Picked up a 1961 truck 223 six. Almost nothing fits. F@ck. So I just redid the 223 and stuck it in. So now I have a perfectly good 215 short block with a **** top end. It's been punched out to 223 standard pistons, has a brand new cam, lifters, springs, and retainers. It even has nice correct green paint. Pics, specs, machine shop paperwork available on request.

Free to good home. I live in the Tulsa, OK area (specifically Claremore).
    Call/text/email/IM me if interested
