I've been trying to get rid of stuff, since I moved out of my big shop. BUT I just love old motors and good prices. so when a buddy was pulling the motor out of his good running 55 Lincoln with a 54 Lincoln Hydromatic. and the price was free what could I do. [IMG]
I'm sitting it in between my 55 Cad (with 120,000 original miles, free also) motor with the Hydro. and my stack of HEMI's. that lincoln motor should be right at home in the 51 merc coupe that I'm dealing on [IMG]

So my motor was delivered yesterday, its been converted to 12 volt is a good runner but I need more. it has been modified with an 8 quart oil pan.and is a 54 317 ci rated at 205 horse. seems like later heads and bored to 55's 341 with some 9 1/2 pistons.and a reground cam. needs some multi carb set up perfer 2 4's but am open to what I can find. not about to put my B&M hydro behind anything with less than 350 horse. If it was a HEMI i'd know where to go [IMG]

Hell Fraz I got a '22 Dodge 4 cylinder you can have. Cool factor 0 but no one else will have one. Cruise up here, and we'll have burgers and try n figure out how to get it in the back of your truck. [IMG]

Hey 48 hemi.....Good luck getting any speed equipment for that Lincoln and when you do It's really expensive...I've been looking for a multi carb set up for about 3 yrs. now and all I've seen is 2x2brl set ups. The last manifold I saw was an 2x2 Edmunds and it was $400.

Sleeper if it was easy it would be called a chevy haha.

I just like old motors and this one is to nice not to build. buying old Hemi's is an expensive hobby too! I've got time and the PORTLAND swapmeet on my side [IMG]

if I could get those aluminum valve covers off ZAPATO'S mark ll. the intake is the only part that will be a problem. I have sources for everything else [IMG]

I know what your saying....Building these oddball motors is definatley a labor of love. But the speed equipment just wasn't made for the Lincolns...I think the 2x2 and maybe a 3x2 intake was made. I've never even seen a 3x2..just heard they exist....
The hunt is half the fun though....

Hey Jim-Bob.....that thing got a valley cover? If not, make one and fab up an old time log manifold. Hell, you can run as many carbs as you want.....2 barrels, one barrels, what-EVER!
