Free mill

Discussion in '"Pay It Forward"' started by racer-x, May 16, 2023.

  1. I have a Gorton vertical mill that I'm replacing. Three phase. Old tracer mill. Tracer stuff was removed. Power feed x-y. Works. Needs a little Wark to make it perfect. All collets come with it. No tooling. Free. Located in south east Wisconsin just off I-94. 20230514_185808.jpg

Hope someone can use it. 3 phase is an issue for a home shop but I'm guessing it could be made to run with a 3 phase converter? Hate to see it go to scrap.

Phase Converter solves that pretty easy. I have one to run some of my equipment.

Thats a nice tool for someone. I have used 2 cheap phase converters off ebay, around 70 bucks, good for up to 5hp, and they work just fine. no need for a big expensive one unless you want to run several machines.
