I gotta little, old neighbor lady here that also has a place in Phoenix... One of her cars is a 1980 T-bird in silver with blue interior. The wiring burned up and she doesn't wanna hassle with going all the way back there to supervise repairs on it. She told me to give it to anybody that needs an '80 T-bird for parts. I asked her if it was a V-8 and she didn't know but said it hadda lotta "zip".. I think they only used sbf V/8's in 80 t-birds...
Anybody wanna go tow this jewel home? No charge but first come, first served..........

They also used turbo charged four cylinders and supercharde V6s.

In 1980, it would have a 255 V8 most likely.

The Turbo Coupe wasn't around until 1983-84, and the SC (supercharged) V6 wasn't until 1988-89.

The 1980 T-bird is a boxy little thing, and stayed that way for the 1981 model year as well. Hidden headlights, kinda ugly little things....like Kenny Rogers was racing at the end of the movie "Six Pack".

A 255 is just a small displacememnt Windsor small block, and it will accept some of the popular bolt-on speed equipment from the 289-302 motors, but it's a rather weak performer.

But for FREE...if the motor and tranny are good, then it might get somebody's small block Ford powered project mobile for little cash and a weekend of effort!!

Yeah, its' the little boxy car. I think they had 4 lug wheels in '80 also, like the fairmonts. Prolly does use the 255 the fairmonts also used. But it's FREE!!!! Even comes with paperwork. She said the car just had $600 put in it but she didn't say what work was done.

I can't deside for Desertdroog, but could you tentatively claim that thing for him?
That might really help him with the car he is building.

I hadda go back a page to find this post again. I can't believe nobody wants a free T-bird witha V/8! I'll bring it up to the top one more time and after that, the car gets it!
The way she talks, has no dents, rust and has paperwork. Ran great 'till the wiring burned up...ask me for details where to pick it up and who to talk to...

    Here's an 81 T-bird...an 80 looks almost identical.

SOMEONE oughtta be able to use a FREE small block Ford drivetrain...not to mention the miles of FREE wire, FREE bulbs, FREE bolts, FREE hoses, FREE....well, you get the idea!!!

It's a Fox chassis car, I believe...could make a good "fix it quick and sell it" mobile to generate some cash for your rod project, too!!!
