Frenching kits: Speedway vs Kool Rides

    I guess I've narrowed it down to two headlight frenching kits. I would like to hear your opinion on both. If anyone has any pictures of either kit installed it would be a great help. Thanks.

    Either one if they dont look like the Hagen frenching kit.

    Kool Rides looks more like the 52-54 Ford headlight rings, I think they look better.

    Hard to tell from the pictures as Kool Rides doesn't show much as far as pcitures but my guess is they are probably the same kit.

    Why not get the headlight rings you want and french them?

    If it were me, I would just keep my eyes out for a set of 52/54 Ford/Merc headlight rings and french the headlights the traditional way if that is the look you are going for with the stainless inner ring.

    $300.00 is a lot of money that could be spent on something else for this retired guy. Originals may be hard to find but would be cheaper.

    You could also go another route all together if you don't have your mind already locked into that look. I'll be frenching '56 Olds headlight rings onto my '49 Chevy like Larry Watson's G****vine.
