I believe that video is of the reproduction Frenzel supercharger that was recently reproduced in Australia. The Frenzel supercharger was reproduced from a NOS Frenzel that was purchased from a man in Denmark. Excellent reproduction right down to the very last detail. I supplied a copy of the original Frenzel literature to the guys in Australia that were doing the reproduction to help them out with their project. They contacted me as I have an original Frenzel supercharger, one of the last known nine or ten originals that are left on the planet.

Yes, they are reproducing it in Australia according to their website. Very cool that you have an original right here in Ontario!
In the vid, it seems to make a strange sound, so not sure if it normal for that type of impeller design.

They look different for sure, somewhat like the underpinnings on an old Maytag wringer wash machine & I say that not in an unkind way, just has that industrial outward appearance, an original was offered a couple years ago at the Greenfield Ia. swap meet, believe it to be from the David Volmer estate in Omaha. Those Australians are speed orientated to the core! Would be interesting to see the results on a dyno or at least a comparison to various intake options from stock to multi carb configurations..

I have to wonder how much boost you can make with a single, floppy V-belt driving it? Does look cool.

I find most of the early blowers, frenzel, scott, McCullough make around 5-7 pounds at best

Plenty of pulley provision to utilize with the appropriate crank pulley, on a non-traditional site dare I mention it beats the look of the twin leaf blower adaption of a few years ago?

Yes, No, Maybe. The old stuff were designed make boost on small displacement restricted breathing flatheads. Put them on a larger free-breathing OHV and they'll disappoint. BTDT

  10. That is Tim's roadster. Tim & Paul have meticulously reproduced the Frenzel. Tim took me for a spin in the roadster in 2019 with the original Frenzel, sound is unique but cool as hell. Higher speeds the gear whine seemed less pronounced.

End of last year they did run a car on the dyno believe with 6 pounds boost saw a 30-40% increase in power, post would be on FB or IG. Their website https://www.frenzelsupercharger.com/

A few photos I took at Tim's a month back, soon offering one to suit V12 Lincoln.

Would you run the generator over the left head, using one of the other grooves on the pulleys?

  13. These are the photos I took of Tim's @Oldmate roadster, he has it mounted exactly as you thought.

Looking good, but looks like the scroll housing is pinching the left side head coolant hose. I also hope they have a suitable bearing for the front shaft support. That looks like quite the overhang for the pulley.

Found this vid. Every once in a while I’ll check out Pete’s vids. Wish he would post more often.
