    Wow Chris, we have a winner! I saw those on your thread about casting techniques, and I was waiting for you to chime in on this one. I have a friend who is doing some small castings here locally, and I'm watching fairly closely trying to learn a bit about the process. Your pieces are quite inspirational!
     
  2. Need Louvers - I was merely trying to describe the differences betwixt tube and friction shocks.

    I don't disagree with you, they DO look better exposed, and probably serve the needs of a light car OK.

    As to 50/50, I dunno. I'm more used to spec-ing bike shocks, and they favor increased compression damping, so would be more 25/75 or so. The theory is not necessary to this subject.
