You probably already saw it in my post. 2004 Show Tee 2004 Show poster Add the Detroit one and you've got yourself a pair. Then there's this tee design. Not quite finished though. Please note that I did not illustrate the cars. They were done by the ultra talented Jeff Allison from Spokane, WA. I did the rest. The easy stuff.
I was wondering if anyone would catch that quote. Aqua teen is great. Heres some more of my old sculptures since I bought a new camera. Also you can see how my sculpting improved in some of em.

Wow! Just some awesome stuff in this week's gallery! Junkyard Dog... I LOVE the skull art! Not really car related, but I spent all week learning some interesting aspects of metalshaping. It is fun to take a flat piece of metal and convince it to take on other shapes and dimensions... The projects I worked on this week, all in one group The "saddle" which started life out as a "+" with rounded inside corners The beginning of a torus shape... I still need to enclose it. My first attempt at a lap joint too. The leaf shape is going to be enclosed, but it makes a cool leaf shape too. Another View: I had a blast this week. But now I'm having withdrawals... time to start hunting for good hammers & such.
STEEL PHOENIX- That's awesome! Are you taking a cl*** somewhere? The whole time I've been working on this, I've been daydreaming about going to Hollywood or New Zealand (L.O.T.R.) to make movie props. Wouldn't that be a cool job? I saw a mounted boars head with a bunch of rummage-sale trinkets stuck all over it, and was inspired to do these skulls. I have a full size fibergl*** horse head that I want to do in full armor. In the meantime, I'll just put out an "army" of skulls. Thanks for the kudos... keep up the cool bashings yourself. Did I mention...? I love my anvil. JOE
Joe, it was a week long cl***. I was in the cl***room from 9 to 5 all week. Quite a bit of work and knowledge condensed in to a short amount of time. And as much as I love my anvil... surprislingly little anvil work was done in these. I used a lot of different forming stakes, mallets, hammers and a lot of annealing as the br*** work hardened. I am interested in applying the same principles to steel to see how it differs. I love forgework, now I'm hooked on this type of metalshaping too. I'd like to apply what I've learned to learning about body work too. I imagine making movie props would be a blast... just be prepared for a lot of sleepless nights. But it would be fun to make the jewelry, body armor and head pieces like they had in LOTR.
Looks like this Friday Night art show has really got you out from under your rock Whodaky! Good to see. Here's my attempt at "art". As close as I get to a can of One Shot (at the moment). and a shot of a neat Trumpy bobber. No Photoshop magic either. Shot on 3200 ASA B&W film. Not perfect shots, but I thought they turned out OK. Location: Greazefest. Brisbane, Australia.
