I always feel uncomfortable being the first easpecially when we are ahead of the game here. But I do know that all the US Friday Art posters, love the jump start us Aussies can give to the Friday Art post. There was a new guy signed up during the week, aka KSK. Here is a shot of the dash I did in his 2 door Customline a few years back and one of his friends's super 8 movie camera, who filmed the whole thing. Neat stuff and great people. Doesn't get any better than that Geoff aka Whodaky
OK, last week someone posted and image of a pinstripe design tattoo. A number of years ago I did some striping on a friend's (Dave) deuce roaster. I did the deck lid and the headlight buckets. I caught up with dave a few months after and he showed me his new tatto. What could I say' neat stuff Geoff aka Whodaky
Thanks Geoff for the whodaky, and Peter keeps his camera behind locked doors now.next time your over here i'll take my brush out.Waiting for Fcute to send a photo through of a helmet i done. Look forward to seeing you Tony.
And as usual a model. Last week I posted images of my yellow midget and it seemed to go over well. Promised P Pan something special for this week. This F100 around 1/10 scale was built using the body from the Midnight Pumkin radio controlled monster truck. The basic body started as a '55 F100. Every part of the body was altered in some way, but the really tricky part was converting it into a '56 big window cab. A real lot of 1/12 parts box parts and scratch building went into this one. But I think it turned out real nice. The really neat part is no one ever knows what it's origins were. I like having unique stuff in my collection. Geoff aka Whodaky
whodaky, i got lucky enough to get the artwork you sent for the larry young benefit. excellent work. thanks for sending it. jerry
No worries Jerry, hope you liked it! Always nice to be able to contribute in some small way. MMMMMM have images of that stuff on file here some place. Will have to post them sometime. I striped the package so Larry got a little piece of art s well. Geoff aka Whodaky
Those models are amazing! My contribution this week is a ten cent ceramic mask I picked up at a garage sale and "restyled".
Geoff:That truck is AMAZING!I bought one of those things at a yard sale awhile back for 50 cents! Now you've given me some ideas.I even have a 1/10th scale Chrysler engine that a neighbor gave me.It was in an R/C dragster he built.Boy I can't even imagine the time you spent on that conversion.Great work! I posted a pic of the nearly finished auction brush on the other thread. This pic is of my newest "Lady".Background paint is Bumper Chrome. The triangular candle holder is another yard sale piece.Ten cents! Don't have anything else yet as all my work this week never got photographed.
.bummer..this piece is in the garbage.total failure.....got waaaaay to tight.....musta been thinking prison.....Dont worry Jeem....I gots another idea
WHODAKY , yeah that package was really nice somebody stole it off the table .Thanks for the generous item! The item went at a LIVE auction .Thought i would have some fun w/ some of them and sell them live auction style .Funny we had t-shirts that i put 10 dollars ea on .Nobody wanted them until i live auctioned them and went for 20-35 ea .. Thanks again
Scooter Sorry to hear someone ripped your piece off. Yeah auctions can be like that, prices get driven up when things are being sold for a good cause. Not sure if I still have your address, pm me it again and I will send you something to replace the bit that went missing. MMMMMM why would someone want a bunch of bent and twisted lines on it, ah well. Art lovers have many and varied ways of getting unique stuff. Geoff aka Whodaky
This week I was inspired by Empire32 panels with the skull. Thought Id give one a shot. I usually dont like the striping with faces and ****, but anyway heres my go at it its on a spray painted 14 x 22 peice of foam board. Ive reduced it on photobucket 3 times and it keeps looking like its gonna be huge OH WELL
HillbillyDeluxe....that bike is awesome. Whodaky....once again, amazing. I love how you build models from things like that, I'd never have thought of it. And with style too! Speaking of models....
I don't know if this qualifies as hot rod art but I thought it was cool. Found a****st a pile of dirty parts at Pomona. Introducing, Mack Truck ace mechanic Roy Porter #1. I don't know any history but great piece of folk art. Made from parts welded, glued, etc. together. Gl***es made of snap rings, a real Craftsman wrench and bit of shop rag in back pocket. First thing I ever brought home from the swaps the wife let me keep in the house. -stick
Whodaky, love the model, great stuff. And Brush you ****! Send me all your throwaways! They're better than most of my keepers.
These next two are a little sketchy cause I did them at 11:30 at night after a 'few' beers. Striped on a piece of gl*** so there is a dropped shadow on the surface below.
