  1. Great show everyone. I am late to the party, something I am working on near finished.

Ruben- Your work is krazy! Just got two prints. Maybe some day an original. Everybodys scratch on this thread is cool.

Feeling under the weather this week, so nothing new.
    Here's something from '09.

This would be perfect drawing to clean up and run through Illustrator. It would be something like a Ger Peters type of thing. Wonder what happened to him?

The Uncertain T pickup has run its course. I thought I'd change the perspective slightly and pencil over the layout pencil lines. Nice work by everyone.

I remember the electronic cash register that our local Otasco Store had in it, that and the ads remind me of that era. I hated storing the exhaust pipes(maremont) in the wooden bins in the Otasco warehose I worked at, and the truckloads of havoline oil I unloaded, but oh, to be back then knowing what I know now. Cragar wheels were SO expensive at $59 each, longlife spark plugs, made for Otasco by prestolite, and back then western auto and Otasco stocked water pumps, fuel pumps for most American cars. Brunswick tires made by BF Goodrich. And I drove Clark and Raymond forklifts that were made in the USA. damn Nafta and the AHoles that voted for it.

Great story Randy, so happy to ‘spark’ that memory. I believe you will appreciate the whole rendering when done. It is a private commission and, while this piece replicates a small chain of well known full service stations, my goal, for the customer, was to find a time like you reflected on to, simple put, evoke those very emotions. Glad you ‘get it’.
    Cheers!!!
