My piece from the forthcoming gigposters.com 2009 pin-up screen printed calendar. We were limited to using only 3 colors per month.

    Here's the artist line-up...

    January - Rica
    February - Tara McPherson
    March - Jesse Phillips
    April - Jeph
    May - Unitus
    June - Mattdidit
    July - Malleus
    August - 3D Glasses/Robbie Fuct
    September - R. Black
    October - Angryblue
    November - Doggydoodle
    December - Rob Schwager

    Cover - Frank Kozik

I'm putting the finishing touches on a digitally painted art print version of it as well, minus the Dec. calendar dates. That will follow soon.

    Here's a sneak of THAT:

    Enjoy!

    Thanks man.

I've conciously been pushing it lately into what I'd consider "my own style".

    I appreciate the compliment. :)

    Thanks Tingler

Let me Clerify... FIRST EVER with Acrylic, and you clean up with water! Unlike oils that clean up w/ turp. or lacquer thinner (not that there is anything wrong with that!) God I miss the fumes! :D

I LOVE Fridays! Great work by EVERYONE!

It's been awhile since I have done something "HAMB" acceptable.
Iv'e done two skate decks for a local show here in the next couple weeks along with helping a friend get ready for a big show he is doing in Ohio.

Another friend left a tool box at my house so I set it on fire, sort of....

So then my Dad walks up to me with a folder in hand. He says "You remember these?"

Old drawings from the 70's...A blast from the past.

I did them in my high school days!

Also included was my Dads 58' retractable...coolest car ever!

Thanks Jez! It is approximately 5 feet wide by 24 inches high. I have since added a giant tiki behind the rear of the '49. Seems like whenever I stop by I draw something on his wall. He did a killer airbrush painting on the garage entry door of a lifesize pinup girl. It's a work in progress for him so i am waiting for him to finish so I can post pics.

  21. Sonny D, At first I thought this might be, as Jeff N puts it, your
"brain drain". That thing is way too cool. I bet there's a market for that
sort of thing. I love the alien poster, and the sign is a great piece as a
    stand alone.

Sonny, that garage is unbelievable. I could get lost for hours looking at all the incredible detail. 3 inches tall? Have ya tried climbing into the dryer for a few hours on high heat?

Thanks so much guys, with the economy so bad and business even worse its a rush to see so many talented artists getting together and having a good time, it lifts the spirit. Jigger- the sign has working spot lights and neon and the coupe rotates on battery operated motor. Too much time on my hands!

  25. Thanks to all who responded to my offer for the templates. I have received requests for all twelve sets. I look forward to receiving your envelopes. Quick note: If you haven't sent your envelops already plan on return postage of 2lbs from Los Angeles, CA to where ever your mailing from to make sure it arrives in a timely manner.
    Thanks again, Joe

I did a sign like that once as a illustration. Changed mine slightly.
