For '54, GM introduced the concept of the Corvette Nomad, which was later declined wonderfully with the Tri-Five. But imagine they have built the 'Vette Nomad, maybe the '58 could look like this one.

Gary, wish I had half your talent....always am blown away by what you bring to us.

 

I sometimes enjoy mixing design elements of cars from different historical aras just to see how well they might work together. This time I tried using some of the elements from the classic 1955 Chevy Nomad which is considered to be part of the post war era and applied them to the later so called classic era 1961 Chevy Corvair . I think the result could have made a pretty cool cruiser. Here's what I think the 61 "Novair" concept might have looked like.....

Prepping for the worst of "Matthew" here in North Myrtle Beach area. Hoping it veers East!
Here's an old oil that I did of the '55 concepts:

 

Painted lettering on HD engine pieces.
Large piece was matte finish (almost a flocked appearance). Soaked up paint and tried to "wick" like you wouldnt believe.
