Hey LUCKY444, Thanks man, I really like your stuff too. I got a 51 Chevy, so I always like 51 Chevy stuff. That coupe has some attitude. I wish I was in Hawaii.

  3. Don't crucify me if I'm wrong, but that looks an awful lot like a Bug body with convertible doors. I like it.

Great show so far everyone, I'm really diggin' the tail/knuckle dragger! Hopefully I'll have something to post before the weekend is out.

This gives you a idea how I lay out big drawings . I have a bunch of little sketches that when you put them together they sorta work. I was making a one day fifties car show , with the guy laying out the club banner on the ground. Someday I will get inspired to finish it. I thought everybody would like it.

Hey Customcory, is that tracing paper you work on? If so, have you tried vellum? The stuffs much like tracing paper, but a little thicker and definitely more durable. Just a thought. I too drive a 51 Chevy Coupe.

The tracing paper that I always use is like drafting paper for maps etc. It may be vellum and I don't know it. I know its acid free. My dad was a land surveyor and they drew the property maps on this stuff. Ink and Prismicolor pencils work good on it. My fifty one is going to be a fifties style custom. Im just now starting the outside body work. I didn't go to school for this stuff , so I have to learn the hard way.

Hello customcory, I remember you used to draw the covers for those USRA Newsletters in the 80's. I found the Vol-1 No.-1 issue for this drawing. Hope you dont mind an old work of yours going on HAMB for the artshow.

Yeah, I'm sure that stuff you have is vellum. Good paper and fun to draw on. Learning the hard way, is the best way!

Hello Customcory. I think this is it. I still have all those Street Rodder and Rod&Custom magazines that have your stuff in them as well. Also all those rod run dash plaques. Can I sell them on ebay?

Hey Cory. Just one more blast from the past then I will stop for tonight. I found one of your old rod run dash plaques for the Carowinds Run for Fun 1979 that you had drawn. Do you remember this? I hope it blows your mind man.

I did that in 1979, I was 19 . It was for the Rods Exclusive club in Charlotte N. C. They put on a few shows on at Carrowinds , and they were good shows. Nobody remembers this stuff. Thanks for putting it on.

I thought I would do another before and after. I had this on concept art last week, but this week made the pics bigger. I used a old issue of Hop Up for reference. Whats funny is this truck was for sale in Hemmings in the early 80's or late 70's. It still had the interior, chrome running boards, but a stock grille. It was 1600 dollars . I will have to dig out the ad, its put up somewhere. Like Rikster, I had to guess at the colors by looking at the shades of gray in them old moldy magazines. Im puttin more on tomorrow.

Hey Scary Larry, at the Jalopy Showdown Mitch kept hearing ride the rocket for $.50 or something like that ...so when he got home he incorporated the blow-up doll and the rocket into a new ride. Here's Mitch's change up for Friday art this week. Rollie great contribution! Low Cab your stuff killer, Janne and 1320 way to keep it coming... Thanks, Joe
