    GaryC.

    The car that haunts me.
Do you have one that always comes into your thoughts
    every time you think...

"If I had one built exactly the way I wanted, it would be this." ?

    This is mine.

Here's one I hope will make all the aspiring artists out there keep plugging away. My first flame job on my old mans 8N ford, 1974. Ya, he was impressed, should have asked him first!. Couple hundred jobs latter I got the hang of it!.

I'm just a guy that grew up around a garage and still enjoys twisting wrenches and snapping a few pictures as well. I've always had some type of modified car or another through the years, and have always enjoyed the individuality and personal expression that comes with them. I curently have a couple of 72 Chevy pickups that I've built and my wife and I are planning a third. We're also looking for info on another project which is what ultimately brought me to this site. This looks like a great place you guys have got here. I'm looking forward to whatever comes next!

    Here's another one for ya.

No new art for this week..

But check out this painting I saw last week in a local Junk yards office wall.. My dad did this in 1983!!! almost 25 years ago..

He was 33 years old and I was 7. I remember him painting it cause
it was one of my favorite cars at the time.

I took these the other day..

This is a local Dirt track that there Rebuilding.. Kinda neat.

we had our open house at the Hot Rod shop last Sat..

This was an Emblem on a truck I painted a few years back..

...and this is a set of Wade Hughes/Joshua Shaw flames.. This is why we do so many..
I do the fineline tape layouts, which makes the prepers and tapers cuss..
Then Wade shoots the candies and fades, which are some of the best anywhere...
Then I do the Pinstriping, which in many cases (like this one) fade from color to color through out...
The stripes are NOT masked.. I fade the striping paint as I go..

  24. Hey Del; welcome aboard! You're the Best! You must be referring to this:

The drawing is now reworked into a T-shirt for Bill Winger's Daddy Katz Kustom Kulture. Bill is a.k.a. "HulaZombie" here on the HAMB.
Make sure to check out his store on http://www.daddykatz.com/

  25. Joshua, they have to be some of the badest layered flames I've ever seen! The amount of work you guys put into them shows. Impressive
