Here's another vintage-style neon piece I did for a local coffee shop called the Filling Station. It is actually a really old gas station that has been vacant for a long time, so they bought it and turned it into this coffee shop. The gas gauge on top of the coffee cup actually has three sequential pieces of red neon (empty, 1/2, and full) and there's a motor inside that makes it look like the gas gauge is moving up. I'll post more shots on this place later when I have better pictures of the building...it's a really cool little shop.

And here's another neon sign I made that will be part of a series. I've got a couple of designs that I'm going to make and sell as "off the shelf" signs for shops, homes, etc. I've got neon and patterns for all of them, but this is the first one I actually had time to finish. I still have to make the brackets to hang it on the wall (at which time I can post a little bit less crappy photo of the thing), but I wanted to post it on here anyway.

Great stuff guys!!!! I've got nothing to post this week. Been doing leterpress but nothing hot rod related.

 

I was very inspired after last weeks show to paint something. I started something that I couldn't finish in time so I'll save it for another show. Meanwhile back at the bat cave I've been working on a design for a car club. and here it is:

A 5 foot tiki I carved up out of palm.

 

doggonit guys!!! very cool work, probably one of the best shows. i'm really diggin that charcoal piece. and the tingler piece is killer as always. i wish i was motivated to paint more.
