haha.. good stuff tingler just a reminder for the artists.. one day left to draw your anglia for the second art challenge
I dont think I posted this one before. One of Henry Ford's finest. (Pin-striping on canvas is tough! I dont recomend it.) This painting and a bunch of others I did are being used in a feature film. The film is titled "Knuckle Draggers". It stars Ross McCall from "Band Of Brothers", Omar Gooding (Cuba's brother), Jennifer Alden from "Wedding Crashers and Justin Baldoni from "Everwood". Oh yeah and I have a small part in it also. I'll keep you posted when it gets released. Also if you live in SoCal, I'm going to be set up at the Burbank Fine Arts Festival in downtown Burbank. I'll be on the corner of Orange Grove and San Fernando Rd. Stop and say hi if your out this way. I posted a couple new ones really late last week. If you get the chance check out last weeks archive.
I got nothing this week, but next week for sure. At least I hope I get this new painting done. Tingler always impressive. Got a 3 eyed thing going this week eh.. Nate I always like the angles you use for your art. Dino I like the pinstripe addition to the painting. Sorry about this being old stuff, but I thought I would add something. .................... Here's my Anglia from the "contest".. but I thought I might show the original sketch here along with it. The sketch was done in my 5.5 x 8" sketchbook while I was sitting in my truck waiting for the Sonic girl to bring my lunch. The color version was "painted" in Photoshop from that original scan from the sketchbook.
this is my 52 robbin' graves. did it at work so its not quite finished. great stuff everyone. nate- very cool idea. tingler- love your style. do you "dress" your canvas with gesso first?
Here are a couple more. i might have posted one of them last week. hope you guys like them. both prisma pencil.
Awesome work so far people! Jim Owens - you always blow me away! Nuttin' new, but my posters are now printed for DRIVE WRENCH REPEAT. I put up an ad on the HAMB Market Place for them for those who inquired about purchasing a set I can't wait to see what everyone else is posting. I love Thursday/Fridays here on this thread.
I posted this on the Contest Thread but alsowanted to put it here for any comments or criticisms. The Friday Art show is always amazing. Everyone keep up the great work. Bill
This is my first art show posting, you guys have mad talent on here. This 40's dodge is pencil and photoshop.
here is a sign that I just painted for Sinclair. With a little bit of gold leafing added in for the ring and cross.
O.K., My turn to join in. Here's my Anglia with a few tweeks I angled the grille, more in keeping with the real thing. I did, however, leave the kick up on the relief line under the rear window as a custom touch and for contrast. Here's a car entitled "The Monkee Mobile." I've included the rough sketch which was scanned and colored in photoshop this morning. I worked fast and sloppy on the color as I anted a 'sketchy' appearance.
How about a 'NOT' ROD! Here's the phantom 1995 Chevrolet Nomad Sportsman Wagon. 17" Alloy rims are an homage to the SS caps used in '65 & '66. The car is basically an Impala SS in Country Club clothes.
jigger, i already told you this, but I think your anglia is fantastic, i love the motion and the character.. really great.
heres a little striping i did for my dads helmet, not quite finished yet though, o and im using model paints and brushes! haha
