Not art, but I redid my living room this weekend. Went to Home depot and cleaned out their "oops" paint (mixed wrong- $1 a quart). And I also Put reed fencing on the ceiling to cover ugly old glued on acoustic tiles. The painting is my art, though, so this is related [IMG]

I know I'm super late, but I just finished this. Its my first attempt at lettering...I want to get good, but it doesn't look hopeful... [IMG]

Thanks. I'm a cheap bastard. The chair on the right is from the late 40's and was found as-is on the side of the road, the other chair is mid 60's and was $5 (garage sale) The table between thm is a haywood-Wakefield That I also got at a garage sale for $15 !! I've seen them go for $495, so I got a deal. The glass table I made from 1" sqaure tubing. The walls took all day, but like I said, $5 on paint (plus 2 rolls of tape). I'll have to take a pic of the ceiling, I think it turned out cool.

Here's the ceiling. It was really ugly, and I've been putting off re-drywalling it, then the wife thought of this. Just stapled it up and used 1x4 "beams" between each roll of reed fencing. The entire ceiling (like 13' x 26') was about $100, and waay easier than anything else I could have done.
