I know I'm known on the HAMB as a premier world class hotrod builder, automotive historian, and all around great guy....but....I am also highly respected in the art world as a "sharpie artist"....I do mostly paper grocery bags...(I love the texture) and limit my work to self portraits...here is me in my airbrushed hamb t-shirt.....please don't feel like a failure when viewing my latest masterpiece......not everybody has my incredible talent.(or modesty)

Prints will be available soon....but VERY EXPENSIVE!!!!

Yes it's a seam... a seam in the grocery bag. And..no, I'm not a midget, actually I'm a giant in the art world.

Did you notice the cartoon effect I did?....Four fingers is a traditional cartoon "thing"....man...I sure am talented....you should see me play miniature golf.

You're probably the best photo album striper in your whole house. Keep believing what your mom tells ya...

    What a maroon.

Mike -your work is kicking some serious ass. I'm diggin that tinted stuff. Did you mask the stuff you didn't want colored?
Did you modify your insert or did you just leave it out? I dig your edges. I filed my insert and my edges are fairly clean. What you did?
You love that crappy little plastic camera don't ya...

There goes Hatch, running around in his panties. Again.

  22. Mel, those designs are great. Z, your presentation should be one of the best for sure...

When my mom's brother passed away, my grandma found this old Ford in a box of junk at the corner of his closet. She gave it to me as a keepsake. A few years back I decided to freshen it up a bit. I did not add anything to the kit...just used what was there. Back in the 60's when he first put it together, I'll bet the thought never crossed his mind that a bunch of us would be oogling it with computers in 2004. Thanks Vince. Enjoy. [IMG]

Shortbus.....I first tinted the whole photo blue. Then armed with a q-tip and undiluted dektol developer, I swabbed the parts of the photo I wanted the blue to turn to a brownish hue. It's a fiber print.....so the color looks real deep.

Yesterday....I masked part of a photo in rubber cement and Sepia toned the rest of the photo. After rinsing and letting it dry....rubb the rubbercement off and you have another way of making two tones. Hell.....maybe you could even try 3 tones! I have not tried that yet.

Here is an example of one that I messed up. You can see at the top where the dektol dribbled into the blue part of the photo. I was so mad! I was almost done with one and now it's ruined.

The edges on my pictures are created from the negative carrier. There is only one 6X6 carrier at school and I guess somebody used a dremmel to rough up the edges....and it looks amazing! The light refracts off the edges and gives that cool look.

    Mike
