I was just thinking this. I think the Friday Art Show this Friday should be in honor of Coby,(CHURCH) fellow HAMB'r that is in the hospital right now. Since he is an artist too. I think it would be a kool thing to do. KNUX!

I guess I'll add these just t say I did and to hopefully fulfill Tinglers' request of getting a couple more posts towards another page on this week's thread.

Brush-- if the billet in these is too O/T, LMK and I'll trash them. (It's not something I like, but it was a paying gig!)

These were done a few years ago as concepts for a car that may yet someday get finished. (I think it's 25% done, and pretty much for sale now.) Anyhoo, couple variations on a 37 Chevy. Top one is watercolor + graphite (and a few touches og gouache) on Arches watercolor paper. Bottom one is prismacolor on butcher paper.

Slide, those are cool! Man, where to begin this week?? Tingler, man, as I always say, AMAZING!! Django, that's AWESOME!!! 1-Shot, I dig your work... killer stuff! Brush, thanks for sharing some history... that's fantastic. Joe Deertay... man.... nice work! Evil1, I've been fooling around with some photo collage stuff for an animated short that has kinda the same look... I am totally digging that piece! Zombie, as always, I almost crapped myself. Your stuff is unreal... Hamilton, nice stuff!

I've been super busy, but Skirv bugged me about not being on lately, so here's two new shirts that are being printed as we speak (read? whatever)...
one new one, and one is a new take on an older piece...

  13. I'm all for that. God bless him, he's in our prayers. My dad, my teacher and inspiration went on to his reward 2 years ago, conditions sound way too familiar.

Brush-- thanks for the Art History lesson. Please keep them coming.

As for the art this week, I've been sitting here all afternoon trying to think of some clever ways to say how much I am impressed with EVERYONE's work... just know that I am impressed and extremely humbled. Thank you all for showing your work!

Here is my take on a photo that was in one of the 1948 issues of HOT ROD.

I am trying to get myself out of using this color combination but everytime I start with other colors it STILL turns out looking like this.

This was inspired by the car advertising found in most mags of the period
its a 53-54 Willys, a what if car if you will....what if you lower the
entire car, nose and deck it, what if you add fender skirts and then mold
them in to the quarters, remove the Willys trade mark Caddy like fins
on the top of the quarters, make a 3 window coupe...What if Willys had and really produced it, would they still be going today....words to ponder friends, words to ponder.

When you look at your HAMB calendar this month, think of Coby. That's his shot.

    November too...
