i've always had a thing for '50's juvenile delinquency books and movies, etc. i just dug up these pieces i did a little while back. they are 'clipped' art from my vast collection of crime books and mags and such, no computers used here. gives them that old school look. some of them i had made into big movie posters and also t-shirts. the shirts sold very well i might add... tred.
these images are cut and pasted together. imagine "cut and paste"... kids today with their photoshop, they got it so easy
another one from the archives. I did this 3D piece for McPhail when he opened shop last year....let's see more!!!!!!
Tred - those are way cool prints..cut and paste is what I did for years, I dont even know how to photoshop. Hamilton - once again very nice work.
Been working on this one off and on. I'm not done with it yet but it works as it is. Was doing it as a coupe but changed gears half way through. Still need to make a body tweak yet from that change when I get back on it but maybe it's not that noticable.
Here's a photo of a panel that Peter Pan of Chicago did for my little cruzn buddy Shelby (HotRodGirl on the RRT). It was her 10th birthday last weekend and she celebrated it at the Detroit Autorama with all her hot rod buddys. Thanks again Joel, she was THRILLED with the surprise and will treasure her first piece of real artwork always.
'Nuther one.... After trying striping and wrestling around with one-shot, I have NOTHING BUT admiration for the folks that make it look easy! ......I'm totally addicted now though. One-Shot is a wonderful paint. Nothing looks like it......
Ha haha. Hamilton, I am totally diggin on that cut out. I bet the eyes follow you don't they? Its such a cool idea....
Shaping up to be another great show! Been practicing, so here are three practice panels, one-shot on glass.
Dont know if I posted this or not. Maybe I will have some new stuff today. Im hitting the darkroom........lets see what comes of it. Mike
Yeah they are for sale.... Just like everything I make....(I'm such an art prostitute) I haven't worked out what the pricing will be on them yet though.... HELL, I haven't even finished them yet. Let me research a little bit and I'll PM ya. How's that? Thanks man, VT.
How 'bout more vehicle concept art...for a street rod shop here in Denver...this is an '04 Chevy SS-R truk turned into a windowed delivery. R-

[ QUOTE ] Roger, your concept stuff should be what detroit builds.Jim [/ QUOTE ] Thanx Jim...but I can't take credit for the idea...you know it takes hot rodders to come up with changes to Detroit iron, has always been that way...probably will remain so... R-
