Man, I gotta get my ass in gear and start using painter...!

Jeff, love the HEMIROID - looks like we have a mutual client. Here's a couple quick sketches I did this week.

Posted one earlier that is actually part of this piece... finally got it done. Been working on these two cars for months now (posted the T a while back), but wanted to share the final composition. (pardon the watermark, please)

...and then with all the talent on the H.A.M.B., I got all inspired by Hidden's stuff, and tried an homage to his wicked stuff...

Some sort of plastic-like clay-like stuff you bake... like Sculpey. He's a master. I've tried to work with it and have come up with the 3-D equivalent of stick figures. :D

Here's one of his Frankenstein puppets. I wish I had pics of Dracula, the Mummy, Wolfman, etc. Maybe for another art show...

Hellfish, how can we contact this guy. I have an idea for a cool shift knob.

All the info is in my post in the Classifieds. The stuff he sculpts in won't hold up well as a shift knob, unfortunately. It's durable, but not that durable... unless you only shifted with handle and didn't use the actual knob

Could you make a mold from it and then cast it in resin or something... then paint it?

Me? no, probably not. I've been working with him to try to create something like that, but haven't come up with one yet. There are a lot of details that are hard to get a good mold of, but I've seen some good ones produced on the HAMB, so I guess it's possible. Doing it yourself would be copying someone's art, and I think is illegal.

I meant for him to do it, or someone besides me to do it with his permission... definitely not copying!!! The "you" meant "anyone the artist wants to work with... or the artist himself". Believe me, I would never suggest copying someone else's stuff to promote as my own (for sale or even personal use).

I was just thinking he should make a series of shift knobs and sell them.

Man, I'm on a pretty bad streak about things not coming out right!

I knew what you meant. I was just being a smartass. :D

He definitely should make some shift knobs. It's a lot of work, but I think it would be worth it. I'll keep pestering him. I think his motivation will be dependent on how well these heads sell.

That is what I was thinkin. Create a plaster cast then pour in some metal then paint.

Great art everybody. Here's a section of an old style drawing I'm working on. That's "old style" as in drawn without the use of sweeps, ellipse guides, straight edges, or computers. I used a fine point marker freehand on bond paper.
