1964 Ford Fairlane Station Wagon

Hello,

In the old fairy tale, not too hot and not too cold… “it is just right.” Rings a bell or two. But as hot rod folks, nothing is left too plain.

427 + 4 speed 1964 Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt Station Wagon + hood bubble.

Not only would this Ford station wagon be used on the weekends at the dragstrip, it would do double duty as a Sunday morning surf school base. Or during the summers, every week seven day surf school for all of the up and coming pre Olympic level surfers.

With the Los Angeles LA Olympics coming to the Westcoast in 2028, training has begun and the waves are the only consistent fact necessary, along with the skill of the rider. Ocean waves are the natural choice, whereas the wave pools are too perfect to be different as per skill level. YRMV

Last Saturday, I attended a very cool gathering at a place called Barlow Point, in Longview Washington.

It was an interesting mix of great Hot Rods.
The Host's George and Casey, gave out some great custom trophies that were fabricated by Lance Hoff.

Not that we needed to know,,, but,
the Ford script was created by an artist hired by Henry.
Myself I spent the best part of my time in grade six practicing writing the Ford name.
That and Corvette crossed flags, both flat and waving in the wind.

 

Got bored last weekend and did Mickey, Felix done a while ago.

 

Vector art for laser cutting. Artwork created from the cover of a 1956 Chevy Truck operator's manual. Really liked the 'Chevrolet' script.

What pencils do you use for this artwork? The result is fabulous.

 

I don't think a new pencil of any kind would move me up to that level! LOL! Amazing work!
