Following the edge of the flames was a lot harder than I figured and keeping the lines nice and fat was tough as this was the first time I've used anything other than a 000 or 00 brush.
Another Confederates rod & Custom Club member, Bill Scott, airbrushed the crossed swords onto the fibreglass top. Club is called The Confederates, coz we're a bunch of rebels.
The car does look heaps better with the blue striping, compared to without. Note the cool projector stand, probably a bit bulkier than tripod type, but it works for me.

[/ QUOTE ] Lookin' good my man!I definitely like your choice of pallet material LOL! Stand looks like it does the job. One thing I have learned about doing flame edges:keeping the edge in view.If you're right-handed,you might want to try the underhand method:that is;pulling the line from right to left with the line either above your hand(if you're pulling a side stripe)or to the left of your hand.Makes it easier to see where you're going with it. Another thing I find helpful is to do the radius first.I start just before the radius begins and pull it all the way around to the other side. Then I pull the line back to the tip of the flame on one side and then the other.I repeat this until done. I think I might do a small tech thing on outlining flames and pulling long straight lines when I get some free time.Until then keep those brushes wet! Ray

[/ QUOTE ] WOW! Now you're making me feel like a pro. I learned that bit pretty quick and ended up in all manner of weird positions, including on my back for the little*******s along the lower edges. I for one would find it much better knowing the hard stuff in advance than the frustration of having to rub out and try another method as you learn Thanx again for the great advice.
