Okay...this isn't hot rod related or striping but I just finished this for a buddy of mine that is really into jazz. This is the first painting I ever did that didn't end up in the bottom of my closet...
[ QUOTE ] Carps, get out in the yard and do what you got to do, the striping can wait. If it's not cameras it's models, if it's not models it's the comp, if it's not the comp it's striping .I can hear Ann saying. Geoff aka Whodaky [/ QUOTE ] Sounds so familliar, you sure you're not related to her? And you forgot to mention the 1/1scale cars and my 'other' car based p***ion.
neat stuff youse guys.. Here's a weird one from a ****py thrift store camera that I was experimenting with a while ago. In the actual photo you can see part of my thumbprint on that ****on.
[ QUOTE ] im also a hand model. DUH!. -caf [/ QUOTE ] .......that means that you must do a lot of "hand jobs??"
[ QUOTE ] you must do a lot of "hand jobs??" [/ QUOTE ] Everyone should find something they are good at,and stick to it.
well, i decided to try something a little different this week. its a 15x20 piece of stainless sheet that i burnished with a roloc gasket removal disc. the orange, green and blue are custom mixed plus primrose yellow. the pictures are really washed out, but it hink you get the idea...
Damn...ya'll are GOOD! Thanks for the compliment, Delaware George! I'm trying to make myself letter more...I've kinda been slaccking the last year or so...I get caught up doing striping and cut-outs of crazy stuff and forget to actually LETTER something once in awhile! ShortBus...that is REALLY cool lookin!
Stuffin' round with my little digital camera. The merc in the photo is slowly gettin finished, will be the photo/magazine ***** at the Picnic
Tony's 32 roadster. Gettin re sprayed in some kinda blue, havent decided to go gloss or flat yet, but plans are for some weird tail light placement, '59 caddy tail lights recessed in the upper rear quarters
[ QUOTE ] Coop Devil I finished up this week on my own leg. [/ QUOTE ] Lookin' good! I like the shading.
More 'not car related but still art' stuff: Steel cuff hammered out of 1/4" square rod... Another out of 3/8" rebar (yes, rebar!) This one ended up being an exercise in oxy-acetalyne welding too in order to fill in some cracks. Finally, some letter openers and pointy things: I need to make more stuff! I'm running out of things to share in the Friday gallery!
[ QUOTE ] those "letter openers" almost look like striping brushes. [/ QUOTE ] yeah, in a way I guess they do. Striping is one of those things I've been wanting to try...
