TO Jeepers Creepers and anyone else for that matter: If anyone needs to resize a pic quickly for the hamb, you can use the general images area in pinheadlounge (doesn't have to be striping related in that area.. just click here:

    http://www.pinheadlounge.com/bbs

upload your original sized picture and it'll spit out a pic for you to put on BBS's like the HAMB [IMG]

Its always so inspiring to see the weekend art show. Lots of awesome work, everybody!

I had the wrench in my hand more than the paintbrush this week, but I've gotten started on a toolbox I'm converting into a jewelry box. [IMG] yeah, you heard me! Everything else I've seen was too foofy. This, at least suits my personality a lot better.

Still a lot of work to go on this one. This is the back.

Keri. That is lookin' GOOD! Neat idea too, using a tool box as a jewelry box. Nice work.

    Steel Phoenix,

Nice design, well thought out geometry!

Here's a partial view of something I've been fiddling with.

Thanks guys! I love working with symmetry, which is one of the reasons pinstriping appeals to me. Just a little trickier to do with the geometric designs. Hmmm, would be fun to pinstripe a kaledoscope effect... I'm also thinking of attempting some Celtic knotwork.

I've got the drawers and top space lined in red velvet... and I'm thinking of a way to line the top to put some pouches in to store smaller items.

Mike... wow! Love the 3d work. What program are you using?

Nice sculpt on that knob! I saw something like that once in a Bourbon St. *** shop....It was called "****** WOLFIE" or some such thing....You should cast those in liquid latex and ........
    Good to see your work!

Thanks, it's done in 3d studio max.

Would Celtic knotwork be that graphic design with the intertwining bands? I've seen that before on a t-shirt, it's a great look.

Something like that. There's a lot of banding designs that would make interesting stripes, and there's knotwork motifs that might work too.

Here's a site that has some imagery from the Book of Kells. Neat stuff.

I tried playing with 3d Studio Max once. 3d design is the one thing I haven't been able to grasp very well... I really respect the people that have the ability to do it.
