Awsome Panels! So I wont get yelled at for not posting CAR art. These are hanging in my shop. I did them a few years ago.
Amazing stuff guys! Empire32 - you stuff never ceases to amaze me! The tiki panels are incredible. Indocil - amazing art! Acrilic?
Empire - the tikis, the piston, and the first skull especially, are awesome. I mean it's all awesome, but I really like the striped "objects" as opposed to only curly-Qs. A few months ago I started practicing striping, and almost got to the point where I might be willing to show some of my work here. Then I moved to a new house. Haven't done anything in like 2 months. Plus I've actually been working on my car a bit (new bigger garage helps a lot). But I really need to get back into it. Thanks for the inspiration. I've gotta try my hand at a tiki or two.
Now that the show is over I will post this. Mick (straykatkustoms) gave me the honor of contributing the background striping on his event shirts for the Stray Kat 500. This is the original panel.
'33 willys I saw in R&C. I wish this could have been printed in a mag. (cougghh) Below is a pic from Green Bay Rockin 50's fest. I am the thin guy. The guy next to be had just finished strippin my decklid. I painted the beer mug mural.
Looks like some cool art so far. Been too darn busy with work lately, so here's something that's more or less finished. Sean
I'm not a big fan of Pinstrips, but those panels are incredibles Etienne, I'm very impressed by your talent and your style.
That striper looks vaguely familiar... where have I seen his work before? I have a feeling I've seen it fairly recently Etienne, you've only been striping for how long? Seems like not all that long ago you were posting your first stripes on here. Your work is looking great.
Nice stuff so far this Friday! I'm digging the tiki theme lately. Here's a few of my black and whites. Again, these are "pictures of pictures" since I don't have a scanner. If they look a little skewed, that's why. A crusty old gas bowser in my hometown. Private property, but they still use it, I think. (Oh, and yes that is an old acetalyne tank, and yes, it is being used as a pillar.) Here's a pic of a steam powered tractor. I was driving past this little farm and saw these things in the snow. Went in and asked the guy if I could shoot them. Still haven't made prints of everything from that trip yet. This was February, I think... Here's one I shot last summer. The actual print is about 1.5"x1.5"
Etienne, amazing panels! I see that you have been very busy. Great work! Fantastic show so far guys. Joel Here's a pic of a panel I did from Magnet's BBQ last month featuring Etienne.
what filetypes, resolution, etc. are ya'll using? i have to compress stuff way down to put it on here and looks like total crap.
Really nice work, already! I've got a couple pieces I'd like to show off, but the custommers haven't seen them yet, so I guess it'll have to wait a couple more weeks. I did this for Tingler...
Badass work as usual guys. I just found out my business partner on my club night has a sweet digital cam, so I should be posting again soon. Any Texas artshows coming up?
Harrison, it was about 15" maybe? Tingler will haveta tell you, since it's in his possession. I'll be firing your piece up this week! I'm slow, but it eventually does happen! I'm lookin forward to it...got a cute chickie drawn up, but that's all I'm sayin about her!
My mom gave this to me (framed) for x-mas, I geuss she was going through her archives and found this drawing I did when I was 10,(1973) kinda cool I thought
THANKS BARNETT! Thanks for posting that pic too.... I love it! Here's a t-shirt I did recently for Caffeine.
