I also painted some WWII bomber pinup art on the sides of my PU. I have a newfound respect for all you signpainters out there. This was my first attempt at a project such as this. I painted the sides at different times during the last week so each side is a little different 'cause I tried to 'improve' the 2nd one I painted.
I'm not real happy with how the lettering turned out but it'll do.

WOW, the Art show is popin already! Great stuff!

I gotta throw something on here so I can say " I had some Art Work on the great Art Show of Sept 30th. :D

Dest Top Art Work #53 is a dirt track 56 Chevy. Gunna be a lot of dirt track race cars coming in the near future, seems to be the hot ticket right now.

Still time to jump on the HAMB Auction Desk Top Art Work. Ends Oct 1st. Then in a couple of weeks, pictures of your very own Art Work will be posted in the Art Show.

wow, inkslinger i really like your stuff

  7. Been doing a lot of production work of late and haven't had much time to fool around in the shop so I thought I'd do a few posts of other people's work;most of which I have in my shop now.I'll try and remember the people's names but don't hold me to them as I might be wrong on a couple.

First two pics are of the Broken Dream Kruise posters by Jeff Shea.

The second are of a Christmas card I received a couple of years ago from an extremely talented painter in Massachusetts named Ken Jacobs.

  8. Next is not a panel but a belt buckle I bought at a flea market many years ago for $5 and it turned out to be a limited edition piece by Salvador Dali.

Then a collaborative panel by our own Unkl Ian and Dave,"Letterfly" Knoderer.

Next a 3-D panel by a striper in Colorado who goes under the name,"Kustommixt".Ground aluminum candied and flamed with an aluminum cutout of a guitar player.

Last one of my favorites by Lee,"Vance" Hulick of New Carlisle Ohio simply titled,"Your Brain on Pinstriping"

  9. Next a couple of panels I bought back in the early 70's from Don Penttila of Sutton Massachusetts;probably the first person I ever knew who sold his artwork at car shows.

Then a great panel by our own Delaware George. The pic doesn't do it justice.

Then a take on Harvey by Dennis Gibbish of Plymouth Michigan.Dennis is definitely old school and has been striping and lettering as long as I have.

  10. Now some pictures of a panel and a great envelope from our very own Whodaky. This ones in my showcase Geoff.

    I think these are fantastic.

  12. And last but certainly not least a panel from Wendell,"HotRod Gezer" Burnett.

    Awesome work guys.

  15. Great work everyone. I dig those paintings, Inkslinger. Those Jeff Shea panels were unreal, as well.

Glad you're happy with the dash, Mike. You still taking Pepe to B'field?

My only contribution for the week is this toolbox that I'm not quite finished with:

I got a new SLR digital camera this week...I was fartin' around with it. And there is a aircleaner cover (moon disc) that I painted for my truck...it's the nose art from the B-17 I modeled my truck after.

Here's a scribble from my sketchbook. Saw something like this at Greed Guys last weekend, so it's been in my skull this week. ;)
