    About the image sizes...

You obviously have Photoshop (at least it appears that a fella like you would have it). If you do have it - use the "SAVE FOR WEB" feature in the pull down menu. It will let you adjust the image quality and the resolution, but keep the large size. And the best part is that it makes the changes "live" right in front of you - and you can see the image at the size and quality it will appear.

Save it to your desktop as a new file name and upload it to the post (HAMB) or website (photo host - Photobucket, 'er whatever..).

I am sure if you have any other image editor that it has something similar - as these programs are set up to help web designers.

I'm in the middle of a suite of three prints of Venice done in lino, with chine colle background.

I love the process of carving the lino. And I really like the result of printing dry with oil based ink. You can't do that with etching. The paper really needs to be wet.

I need to find my own press. Studio hours at school are killing me. I have to be out by 8:00, and I can't get anything done.

Etching press on the cheap, anyone?

    Brush,

    CS2 !!!! Gold Chainer....

I'm rockin' Version 6.0. It's a cl***ic, just like my PC. I might even try to get me one of those CD burners someday - I heard they can put images and music on disk with those thinggies now!!! wowwie!

(Being fecescious of course, but seriously, CS2-must be nice)

Glad I could help. I like that feature because you can see the file size and the image, well hell --> the whole shebang, right on one screen and "live".

It beats the hell out of my old method:
Shrink image -> save -> close out -> go back to folder and highlight image to see file size (damn, still too big) -> open -> shrink image size -> rinse -> repeat....ad nausium.

Anyways - use the slider-bar to quickly adjust the image quality and then adjust the size according to what you need. I am always surprized at how low you can put the quality while maintaining the huge size - and the thing still ooks good!!. I just love Photoshop.

(Just to stroke your ego a bit - I have been jumping back and forth between www.georgetrosley.com and www.jeffnorwell.com at work almost every day for artistic inspiration......so, thanks.)

  21. This is way off topic but, I thought I'd still share. I have a son that's serving with the Marines in Iraq currently. All my children are creative and enjoy drawing. I just didn't know how well till I got this emailed the other day.

He said he never realized that he had it in 'em too. This is gonna be refined and used for a future tattoo. I might get this too.

Great "Art Show" this week guys, the talent here really inspires.

    Holy shnykes.

That is some deep stuff. I love that kind of art. I used to be very in to that underground/fantasy style stuff. I used to pour over every issue of Heavy Metal and whatever else I could get my hands on like it was printed on gold. Thanks for the link. I have been doing a lot more non-car related art lately which is part of the reason I don't post my stuff....well, that plus I am a paranoid nut-case.
