i guess if this doesn't show up we're not haveing an art show this week. but if we are, were is a helmet the was subbed to be from a local custom shop. i took picture be for they took it so it has not been cleared yet.
Nice airbrushwork. I'm guessing that helmet must be for a 350lb biker? As far as I know, Friday Art Show is a go even during TECH Week. It was last time.
where the hell is Safariknut? he usually starts this about a minute past midnight . i'm sure he'll turn up.. here is the new shift knob for the "FnA". Steve Lanier (Tikiranch) whipped this baby up for me in record time and sent it straight from Koolsville to me in the great white north. the candy green is way cool in person and real SHINY!. can't wait to screw this sucka on top of that 6 gear.
Wow...I guess it is Friday...I forgot. Here's a mirror I did, recently. Custom cut MDO frame, One-Shot paint hand lettered and airbrushed and coated in 2 part epoxy clear...
Here is a camper I have been tossing a round for a while to pull behind my 37. There wouldn't be a whole lot of room inside but big enough to sleep in.
Heres some drawings i did about 2 years ago.. Some are designs for choppers, the other is the purple eater,, done in 1 1/2 scale .. Some art work on my walls... Most of this stuff i got at swat meets.. kustom made licence plate ( get it ?)
I shot this Monday night at the Lowering Block in El Cajon, California. I was doing a story on putting IFS in a 1960 F-100 for the magazine I work for. I wondered outside and shot this while Dave was welding up the front crossmember.
Did a few things this week, going to display some stuff today at a 50/60's market at a Rokcabilly thing, don't know if I want to sell anything though. I find it very hard to put a value on my work.
I would, but they said its a collectors item... and it would leave a big gap on my wall, with the rest of the car junk..plus i love that damn thing!!

OK, I had to run upstairs and paint so here is a practice panel. I think I am improving. Quick ? for you stripers. I haven't invested in "one shot" yet. just using what enamal I have around the house. I have discovered that consistancy of the paint has a lot to do with the way it flows onto the surface. Is "one shot" easier to work with, and is it higher pigmented for better coverage? Thanks for the input in advance. George
[ QUOTE ] Is "one shot" easier to work with, and is it higher pigmented for better coverage? [/ QUOTE ] YES and YES! Lasts longer, too. Your striping is looking good, by the way.
Don't really have anything to post this week so I thought I'd run up a pic of our kitchen wall that my wife is working on.A little explanation why I really like this: She decided to try some faux finishing after seeing it on one of the DIY shows.Decided to do a pattern of cement blocks with flowers.Painted in the blocks adding highlights and shadows(and moss),used a stencil to lay in the base leaves, and then hand painted the vines and shadows, etc. What makes this pretty amazing(in my opinion anyway)is she painted this ENTIRE thing using nothing but a couple of tiny makeup brushes! She worked on it for nearly a year!I saw her struggling with these tiny brushes and offered her some of mine but she declined. The pics really don't do it justice;the realism is amazing. Ray BTW my wife doesn't normally paint but does do some pretty incredible stained glass work most of which she gives away to friends.
