Great stuff everyone I love this **** here's a snowmobile hood I did for a friend not a hot rod but it's art
I did'nt do this but the infamous friend of mine did this for a buddy and his Krazee chev-powered heally......Lance Sorchik.......it's very kool!!!
Don't have too much going on this week.Added some letters to the panel I did for the leaf thing.Am working on a panel for the Detroit Autorama gig and it may take awhile. Ray
It never cease to amaze me the stuff you gals and guys do, I feel very priveleged to be able to see such work from the other side of the world. Ok here is a few things. The first is my gas pump, this is actually an Aussie pump, but I made a more stylish body and just used my imagination for paint and letting design, but it had to have a Gilmore glode (ps I ain't no sign painter) Next is a Harley I did last weekend, the other 2 area a couple of panels I did last week. One shot on cardboard, I like the affect of the paint absorbing into the cardboard.
WHODAKY/..WOW Man 'O man......very nice strip'in.neet beer fridge and ...KOOL garage!!! how am I gonna haul my 32 p/u to OZ fer you to strip it? F.A./....And yer gonna make me go to Marathon so you can paint sumptin neet on my 32's cowls? That flathead table is INCREDIBLE!!!!!! Wow.....it is great to be here with ALL the talent.
OK, and now I just got back from painting a friends refer, in One Shot. I give up on the sripes and now just gonna concentrate on pictorial styles the pic is ****py but you get the jist...some of you all are so good, sometimes I want to through in the towel...
What a great show of talent from everyone!!!!.....makes me wish I could draw a straight line. Thanks guys for show casing some smokin ART!!
K-Member, that is f'n great!! I didn't know you messed with lettering enamels...or lettering! Looks real nice, man.
Thanks for the compliments Brush, if I was there then it would happen. Safari that is nice, I got to do more color filled stuff. I know I have said it before but the Friday art posts are so neat. Wasn't going to post today, just couldn't be bothered, but coming on and seeing all this great work I just had to contribute. You are all a great inspiration to this humble Aussie striper.
Great stuff guys, as usual. GV, I see much improvement in your stripes over the last few months. Very good.
Yeah Dan, I've been goofin with that enamel stuff for a while, my pin striping lacks so I will just concentrate on my lettering and pictorial styles. I will try to do a new one for next week! Did you see my airbrush T-shirt from two weeks ago?......
wideglide 74, the favorite piece of furniture I own is a Panton Heart Chair, I love that thing. HEY Mike I dig your non car photos, you rule. FA, what can I say? GV, ditto. Y'all rule.
I'm NO artist..I could only dream of having the talent you guy's do.. But seeing a few other car pics i thought you may like this. I took this on the way back from the NSRA East Coast Nats in York PA. I hung my digital out the window doing about 65 (held onto it so tight i thought i was gonna break it) Thats a '34 5 window ahead of me, and a '32 chevy up front.. anyway, here 'tiz.. Rat.....
yessir, that's Lee Pratt. I shot the car for Custom Rodder. That top is beautiful up close in the sun.. ratpak- cool shot. hot tip: if you can figure out how to lock your digital camera's shutter speed at 60 (1/60) or slower, you'll get more blur on the road surface at that speed. shutter priority is what they'd call it in the manual. or use the landscape setting.. an old one.
Shortbus you are one of my hero's and so is Steve Conan. Here is a picture I took this morning and ran to school and used the Dark Room. This was taken with my first homemade pin-hole camera. I was using a paper negative. This is a 7min exposure time. Not to bad for a pin-hole camera super ultra wide angle. The "Camera was only 10 inches away from the front headlight. Its my Apache Truck.
ShortBus, thanks for the tip!! I need to do some reading in my manual. Question for ya, how the hell did ya register in '69??? Rat....
I picked up my new sewing machine last weekend and finally got to put in a little time on it today. Figured I needed a small project to get used to the machine so I did up the cushion on my chair in black vinyl and red velour tuck'n'roll. Also got the carpet s***ched up in my bug. The bucket seats are getting tossed to make room for a bench done up the same as my sewing chair eventually... Fatluckys, what's with these people and pink?!?! I'm recovering some Marshall amps in hot pink vinyl for a local punk band. That's what they want so I'm doing it. Bill
Thanks Mike. That really means a lot. I dig your work too. And we share a hero in ****an.. That pinhole shot is bad***! I made one of those in college too. 8x10 paper neg. photography in its most basic form. ratpak, I'm way old school.. been on da HAMB since I was 4 and still don't have a thousand posts. btw, that last pic of mine is the dash in DRD57's coop.
