****FRIDAY ART**** this week is a differnt twist for me...

so nice i'll post i t-twice,
heres the updates i made to the (un)official 'HAMB friday art show' auction panel last nite. this is the first thing i've ever attempted to letter in earnest, and i'm pretty proud of it. its far from done, but i wanted to get a buzz going before it goes up for sale.
what do you think??

 

again i gotta post some art from a friend of mine. CJ allan. he recently engraved larrys discovery bike here are some pics the night before he past away. CJ is a great guy and a awesome engraver and pinstriper. pictures do no justice.

CJ is on his way to stay at my place from Kentucky as we speak driving 18 hours for larrys memorial.

 

Tell CJ that I said "Howdy".

 

Just got in from work and viewed both Friday posts.

Sounds like THAT might make for an interesting tale eh?
Reminds me of one of Alan Johnson's panel jams that I went to awhile ago.Alan lives in Blairstown NJ which is very close to the Delaware Water Gap(can you say in the DEEP woods).
He usually has a shotgun near the back door of the shop and he tells people that if you're going to camp there,when you get up in the morning to whiz be careful because there are bears around there and if you leave any trash out they'll be there scavenging.
Well anyway someone is doing a sign for an old drag strip and wants to "age" it a bit so Al takes the sign and shotgun out in back of the shop and proceeds to,"AGE" the sign!Two blasts did a pretty fair job!
I was talking with him the other day and he mentioned that he had discovered the carcass of a pretty large bear on his property not too long ago.Don't know what he died from,but I told him he should have skinned the bear and he could have had a nice new door mat to replace the computer keyboard he uses now!
Anyhow that's my bedtime story for tonight.I have to get up in the morning to give this guy his helmets I painted tonight and play,"Replace ALL the vacuum hoses and fuel pressure regulator" on the Syclone.Shouldn't take more than a week to do!SEE YA!

 

Alan doesn't have the Magic Keyboard Door Mat(tm) anymore.




He had to strip it for parts to fix his computer.
