I finally got the time to sit down and really look over this week’s show. So far I like every thing! There is a lot of talent on this board!

Thanks for all the complements on my art this week guy’s, I’m happy with how it came out, I don’t want to jinx it, but I think I’m finally coming out of the longest artistic slump of my life. It lasted so long I was contemplating hanging up my pencil for good & just playing music for the rest of my life. But suddenly the fog lifted & I’m workin’ on a bunch of new stuff! Lesson re-learned, "Never give up!"

To my long time friends Von Franco & Mikes51Thanks! I’m always looking forward to seeing your art too!

Franco, you’re a monster on that Wacom Tablet, Guy! The thing that’s cool is it has the same exact awesome feel as your hand done art! That monster in the "T" got a good laugh out of me!

I know I'll probably embarrass Mike (Mikes51); but I think it's very safe to say he's the first Hot Rod/Custom Car Artist to do our type of art in 3d, Did it way before drag and drop 3d programs. To put a date on it, he was selling his 3d stuff at the Labor Day West Coast Customs shows when they held were in Los Bannos! In my opinion, he deserves to be recognized for that groundbreaking vision!

Sage, I remember you! Dig your work too! I had a kick @ those parties too!
Acrochicken, Like I said "Cool Photo’s!"
    oddrodgarage Thanks!
Ger, I’m sure glad you’re postin’ your stuff here, I dig it!
Cab, Glad you had a good trip! Panel Jammin’ is a kick huh?
    Kustomlinez, I like your stuff!
Pacheco, "Nice 3 window! Your best piece yet!
    Busted lifter, Another great seat!
Janne, I hope every car you’ve ever designed gets built! You and Weezner!
Jersyboy, simple but effective, I like! Eat A Peach? As in Rice Millers ("Sonny Boy" #2) words, "Ain’t but one way out!"
Squindo, you’re still one of the most original guy’s out there today!
Clydsdale, What’s that smell? LOL Cool!
    Nickscarlet, So would I!
A 32 Flathead Gotta love that one!
Ewt, "I’m not worthy! Killer photo-realism, man!
BigNick 1959, I’ve done just enough airbrushing on metal to really appreciate how nerve-racking that is! Cool!
    Toddj, Always dig your art!
    Dirt Diggler, Wow!

Relax guy’s, it’s not going to my head! LOL

here's a vest I bought on ebay for my wife. cut it all to hell and added some artwork. It's called the "Ace Of Spades" Alligator Spade background w/ Stingray Inlayed Eyes and a Snakeskin Hatband w/ an Ace of Spades Palying card in it. On the front I made a 3-d Scorpion out of Burgundy Gator...
Still workin on a bit more artwork and building a liner out of exotic Asian Dragon Silk.

HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND all. Be in Dallas on Saturday for the THEM invasion.

  10. Thats a real nice tribute to your Dad...when my Dad passed away almost 3 years ago, I went back home to the UK and following the funeral, I went & sat in my Dad's garage to reflect on things, just some alone time....I got to looking through his stuff & found his old Stanley tape measure, all battered & dirty...but his...you know what I mean?

It sits now on top of our TV along with a picture of him & me. He's never far from my thought's.

    Damn...

Acro~ you're pic.s are so good they hurt.

Eyebone~ this is my first encounter of the Eyebone kind. Killer, to say the least. this one Reminds me of some of those cool old Greatful Dead Concert posters. Groovy Style

Pacheco~ Fuck. That's depth in two tones bro. It's called definition and it's a fine line from your pens.

Bustedlifter ~ nice leatherwork. Keep it up and pass it along. It's a dying art. Really.

    Buick59 ~ i like it

EWT2 ~ I gotta give you my "Favorite" award this week. That is sick.

Franco ~ Again.. you're work is Sooo Franco (synonym for Kool)

Studenut ~ Touching and cool. He lives on through you.

Dirt Digler~ sweet style. It reminds of "la alma" (soul)

    Super Fleye~ sweet.

All else... thank you. I love Friday Art Show. It's my favorite part of the H.A.M.B.
    Thank Y'all.

    fac·et
    noun
1: a small plane surface (as on a cut gem)

    That's how Webster's defines it.

I wanted to do a hot rod which had a minimum of curves.
The major design elements are made up out of octagons,
    parallelograms, trapezoids and squares.
Although I could have carried it to the extreme
it might have looked more like a door stop
than a car. Something Lance Reventlow might have driven.

So here you have it; the faceted roadster.

Real men post art on Fridays! yikes.

I wish that I could draw/paint or take pictures as good as the ones here. Some won't consider this art, but I consider them kind of like miniature sculptures.

I customized a couple more 64th scale die cast cars to add to my Hollywood Knights set and started a Gumball Rally set. Now if I could just find the damn Mercedes 300SL Roadster the old guys drove! As soon as I go through the rest of my boxes and find the other cars: the Porsche, the Police car and the Ferrari I'll add them to the Gumball set.

Well I haven't posted in awhile but I have some new stuff as of recent that I like. The Chief rider is some failed art that I like. I finally got around to updating my own logo. The Hot Rod and Knucklehead is some stuff I did for NYC Choppers and the Messaround art was this year's T-shirt art.

    Hope ya'll like

    Jez-h-r very nice car
    Pacheco cool and crisp
Squindo love your style and your stain wood rocks
    ewt2 that is incredible
Von Franco the monster in the car looks great
Gary C as always good stuff
Sorry if I missed you, there are many out there.

I have nothing new this week but here's an old one from 1992 I just found in my stuff. Pencil and pen.

Another outstanding show! I thought Friday would never arrive. :D

I'm not gonna list all the great artists...it would take up the whole thread! I will say though, I broke my right click button again! :)

Been workin on this for the last week. 8ft x 3ft digital print...gonna hang it in my shop. Had to dumb it down so much it lost allot of detail.

Technical Difficulty on the pic...stay tuned:eek:

This is the same truck I striped a few weeks ago. Its my buddy's father's '53 Chevy. He wanted this done before the Rhinebeck show (near albany, NY next weekend. The " got rust" is a vinyl sticker enhanced with 1-shot! Enjoy.
