Since I can't post these in good faith on the regular topics, (non-trad!) I'll post'em here! Hope it qualifies as art. Did this car last week. Kinda strange taste, this guy has, but I think the flames came out pretty cool looking. The guy was in love with the Kenwood Stereo Caddy. The car also has molded in Trans Am scoops, and 58 Edsel bumpers, front and rear! And I will DENY working on it, to anyone asking!
A racing pal of my B-in-L presented him with a birthday present "pit" helmet last weekend. Lots of symbolism incorporated, including the Union Jack showing under the "fractured" crown because ". . . in spite of 40 years living as an American, if you cracked his skull you'd find he's a Brit after all!" Anyway, for anyone interested in doing a plastic helmet for Bonneville or wherever, the painter said he prepped the shell with two very heavy coats of clear enamel, making it sort of soft and pebbly, giving the enamel a chance to soak into the plastic. After it was thoroughly dry, he did the graphics with One Shot.
