Well its friday morning and what the hell am I doing up working on my computer... damn it all to hell... I will never sleep like a normal person I swear...

So I got inspired to do some work in illustrator... all I have to say is that im in love with the program. I normally use photoshop, pen, paper etc etc...

its 3:17 and im supposed to get up at 6:30 am... im screwed.

Its like if I start to watch a movie I cant fall asleep in the middle of it... I just have to make it to the end. DAMN IT.

So here it is... my first illustration w/ illustrator... a shoebox ford of course [IMG] and a hamber inside joke of sorts...

Tuck, Not trying to hi-jack or take this post in another direction but I was wondering how the new software you are using really compares to some of the others on the market. Periodically, I would like some of my art work "digitized" and the only program I have (Correll Draw) ****s big ***.
Nice work by the way. Me digs [IMG]

What's your problem Tuck? They're not teaching you that real men use Freehand? Cru Jones will never leave a spot open for you on the Rad Racing team now. Nice piece though. [IMG]

Brush - Should I even bother with a compliment? Anyone with eyes can see your stuff rules.

Brush, you make my heart race faster when I see your stuff. Truely amazing.

Tuck, print them up as t-shirts and sell them out of your trunk to all the HAMB guys during the BTT50's weekend. Sure would be a nice alternative to the regular white ones that the show makes up and would give ya alittle pocket money.

Damn you guys do good stuff. OK I only got some of my striping as usally. I can't do any of that other stuff [IMG] r stuff. Great friday artmanship as usual. [IMG]

  22. That's your FIRST attempt at Illustrator?! Give it up, you ****. [IMG] (damn right I'd buy a shirt. Your illustration looks better than my real shoebox).

Illustrator? CorelDraw? Freehand? I've used 'em all and they all have pros and cons. They are just tools, it's the user that makes 'em work.

    Nice work Tuck.

anybody know where I can get info on doing up some skate boards? I have an idea for a series... but im wondering what would be the best process for haveing them printed?

would you silk screen the graphics and then clear them?

I want the quality to be the cats ***! anybody know???

    lostparts nice deck

Hey about the 2 art shows I think safari nut and I were eating the same sandwich at 3AM thats weird... i woulda posted under that one but oh well. 2 late and not a big deal.

    good stuff as always [IMG]
    nice face whodacky that rules

BIGA dude... I took this cl*** where they taught us Illustrator and photoshop... I think i cheated and used photoshop or did use some illustrator but to a very LIMITED extent... I've been useing photoshop forever and I think the programs are very similar as far as tools and functions so I had a HUGE head start...

haha u might just see it on a T-shirt soon [IMG]

tuck...all of the older boards were just silk screened,no clear...they hold up fine, till you go shredding them...the new ones are mostly heat transfers, they don't look quite as sharp....if you could get them screened, that's the way i'd go as far as quallity....email jim phillips...he has a website if you search it....he's real nice, did all the old santa cruz designs...might give you some advice

  30. Brush and Tuck,

Next to one of my original favs, Joe Kubert, you guys are gods. After my appearance at Sundays Detroit Panel Jam, I will be committing Hari Kari somewhere on I94 west towards Chicago. I am so not worthy.

Thanks again to all, you guys rock! [IMG]
