Howdy! Ya I know, sounds Hokey, but hey this is the H.A.M.B. and when you are from Roundup, Montana it fits. Been car crazy for as long as I can remember, and interested in changing things since I could climb up and hang over a fender. Love the challenge of the orphans, and wind up bringing them home alot. Found my sweet spot with Studebaker, trucks in particular. This is my '59 Studebaker service truck, she's known as Mergatroid. Theres a merger of about 4 different Stude trucks in there. Lots of custom, built my own service bed, custom interior from a '58 Golden Hawk, Stude 289 V8 powered, bored, chambered, ported. Hope to learn some new tricks from the folks here for my next project, a dual McCulloch blown '59 Studebaker shortbox pickup. studemaker
Uh oh, I dunno if the HAMB is big enough for TWO '59 Stude truck owners! Goin' for a twin blown 289 in the Deluxy Scotty huh? Well, I LIKE the idea! That would definitely make it more fun/driveable/interesting than an old flathead 6 in there. (I still have the 6 in mine... Got some extra blowers? )
welcome! Im originally from up your way , lived all over Montana, Wyoming I even lived in Decker Mt! My buddies into Studes also heres his truck , can you figure out how it was done!? http://members.aol.com/vtahighwaymen/images/sacramentonsra2005(83).jpg
Thanks for the welcome! Ya Matt..just aqcuired the second VS57s and have had an Edmunds 2x2 waiting for awhile. Heres my inspiration, been dreamin of my own since the '70's... Howdy RatBone..spent some time around Colstrip, Decker, Sarpy Creek myself. I have seen pictures of that M before, nice ride! Looks like the hood was shortened, and hood and body sectioned and added height. Whats it ride on?
Hey Studemaker, Saw your truck buildup over on the Studebaker Truck Talk Forum. Welcome to the HAMB,you'll love it here! Lotsa good ideas and people! I have an M5 hot rod myself. Studebakers must be a sickness,or is it hot rods must be a sickness?
